PONGSONA REMAINS A VERY DANGEROUS TROPICAL CYCLONE.

LATITUDE 16.2 NORTH...LONGITUDE 143.8 DEGREES EAST...OR ABOUT 125
MILES WEST OF ANATAHAN. THIS IS ALSO ABOUT 200 MILES NORTH NORTHWEST
OF GUAM...170 MILES NORTHWEST OF ROTA...150 MILES NORTHWEST OF
TINIAN...150 MILES WEST NORTHWEST OF SAIPAN...
160 MILES SOUTHWEST OF ALAMAGAN...
AND 210 MILES SOUTHWEST OF AGRIHAN.

PONGSONA IS MOVING NORTH NORTHWEST AT 11 MPH.
A GRADUAL TURN TO THE NORTHEAST...
IS EXPECTED DURING THE NEXT 24 HOURS.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS NEAR THE CENTER ARE 150 MPH WITH HIGHER
GUSTS. PONGSONA IS EXPECTED TO WEAKEN OVER THE NEXT 24 HOURS.

TYPHOON FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 70 MILES FROM THE CENTER...
AND TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD
UP TO 200 MILES FROM THE CENTER.

ON ITS PRESENT FORECAST COURSE...PONGSONA IS NEAR ITS CLOSEST POINT
OF APPROACH TO ANATAHAN. PONGSONA IS EXPECTED TO PASS ABOUT 130
MILES WEST OF ALAMAGAN TONIGHT...AND ABOUT 90 NORTHWEST OF AGRIHAN
EARLY TUESDAY MORNING. REMEMBER THAT TRACK FORECASTS ARE SUBJECT TO
CHANGE AND EVERYONE IN THE WARNING AREA SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR
TYPHOON CONDITIONS.
